Why the name POST? In the world of computers, POST stands for Power On Self Test. This is the action computers take when they are first powered on to check their basic functionality prior to loading the operating system. We decided to take this same concept and provide you with useful technology information at the beginning of your week to help get you started. POST is also a term associated with news as well and we felt this was an appropriate and fitting name.

Meta Quest 3 Is Like the Apple Vision Pro, but 1/7th the Price
Image from How-To Geek
Unless you've already forgotten, Apple unveiled its Apple Vision Pro mixed-reality headset early this Summer. We don't know about you, but when we saw it, the Vision Pro felt like we were looking into the future. The notion that you can overlay apps in the real-world (such as placing overlayed kitchen timers for each dish you're cooking), use video passthrough to stream your favorite content while doing mundane chores like laundry, and wear the device to navigate your surroundings made us feel like we were seeing the next great Apple product. But the Meta Quest 3 could take the wind out of Apple's proverbial sails.
Look. History shows us that the Apple Vision Pro will probably be grand. But with the Meta Quest 3 seemingly doing everything that the Vision Pro does but at $3000 dollars less and releasing well ahead of the Apple Vision Pro, does this mean that Apple has stiff competition before the Vision Pro's release date? Or is the Meta Quest 3 for users that wouldn't buy an Apple Vision Pro in the first place?
